Co-op Partners Warehouse began distributing organic produce in 1999 to area co-ops and natural food stores. Originally formed as an adjunct of the Wedge Co-op, CPW services customers throughout the upper Midwest with produce, dairy products, fresh juices, and other perishables.

The early impetus for forming CPW was the belief that no other wholesaler in this region was adequately representing product from small, quality-focused organic growers. We wanted our sourcing to include smaller farms as well as the larger, name-brand organic labels, both locally and throughout North America.

In 2007, the Wedge purchased the Gardens of Eagan farm from Martin and Atina Diffley. The Diffleys will continue to live on the farm and provide training and resources for the next generation of organic farmers. Co-op Partners is honored to join the Wedge and the Gardens of Eagan in the creation of a unified model of a cooperatively-owned farm, wholesaler and retail store.
